Starting May 16, Chef Mickey’s will offer an all-you-care-to-enjoy family-style dinner that will include “no touch” appearances like snapping a selfie or waving hello as Mickey and some of his favorite pals make surprising appearances in each of the dining rooms. Similar to other character dining locations, Guests will take home a souvenir with character signatures and colorful artwork. The dinner menu will include items for the whole family, like starters of “Chef Mickey’s Caesar,” citrus-poached shrimp salad, and assorted breads; main courses of gnocchi, roasted garlic potato Gratin, plant-based faro wheat fried rice, prime rib, roasted turkey, and salmon; and an assortment of sweets to top off the meal. Little ones can enjoy mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, turkey corn dog nuggets, and more!
Cape May Café at Disney’s Beach Club Resort will be reopening on May 18! Guests returning to Cape May Café will find old favorites and new changes, along with its signature service and quality. The restaurant will serve breakfast and dinner, but Minnie’s Beach Bash Character Breakfast and the Seafood-and-More Dinner Buffet will not return at reopening. The all-you-care-to enjoy family-style breakfast menu will feature popular staples like pastries (including the layered crispy, cream-filled “Lobster Tail”), omelets, and Mickey and Minnie waffles. Highlights from dinner will include house-made Parker House rolls and corn bread, a seafood boil with a variety of fresh seafood, The Turf Platter with steak and chicken, and – my personal favorite – lobster mac and cheese. At Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park, Tusker House Restaurant, will reopen this summer. With a modified character experience, Guests will enjoy delicious family-style entrees inspired by the flavors of Africa and can snap photos of Donald Duck and friends, dressed in their safari best as they promenade through the restaurant. Bookings for Cape May Café and dinnertime at Chef Mickey’s open on May 7. Reservation are now open for dinner at Chef Mickey's. It is the news the agents at Simply Perfect Vacations have been not-so patiently waiting for - the opening date for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT! In case you're unfamiliar with Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, here is a quick recap: Remy, also known as “Little Chef” has a beloved attraction at Disneyland Paris. Well it was announced a few years ago that this attraction would be making its way to the France Pavilion at Epcot and recently we have seen the construction of the building - along with more - make their way into the France Pavilion. We now have a grand opening date set - October 1st of this year! If this date may sounds familiar, you have been paying attention. This is the same date that Walt Disney World will be celebrating its 50th anniversary with the start of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration”! This celebration will be an 18-month event that will feature new experiences at the four Walt Disney World theme parks and beyond, where shimmering EARidescent décor will appear as if by magic. At EPCOT, Chef Remy will be helping kick off “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” in Parisian style. While riding Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, guests will feel like they’ve shrunk to the size of Chef Remy as they scurry through Gusteau’s famous restaurant on a wild adventure for the whole family. There will be no height requirement for this attraction so the whole family can ride! Based on Disney and Pixar’s Academy Award®-winning “Ratatouille,” the experience will be part of a newly expanded France pavilion inside EPCOT that will also open October 1st. When entering into this new section of the France pavilion, guests will be transported into a version of Paris that feels straight out of the animated movie. As you can see, it’s easy to understand why little Remy fell so head-over-heels in love with the “city of lights.” Also opening October 1st will be La Crêperie de Paris, a new restaurant offering both table- and quick-service options. The menu will feature sweet crepes, savory buckwheat galettes (naturally gluten friendly) and authentic French hard cider. The attraction, restaurant and pavilion expansion are all part of the historic transformation of EPCOT currently underway, celebrating how the impossible becomes possible through the power of imagination … and a little Disney magic. If you're looking forward to experiencing Remy Ratatouille Adventure and visiting Walt Disney World during “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” contact your Simply Perfect Vacations agent today.
